Learn more about Web Copy, SEO & Copywriting
We're here to help you in whatever way we can, so please do give us a call on 0211 583 199, or drop
us an email
if you have any questions. You might also find the answers you're looking for here, in the
following list of questions that we're frequently asked by clients.
When you consider that search engines like Google drive millions of internet users to websites
every day, SEO is arguably the most effective, and indeed cost-effective, online marketing strategy
that your company can use.

Why do I need professionally written, optimised web copy?
Professionally written, optimised copy from Optimal Copy fulfils two major functions:

1. It contains keywords (words that people search for online) and formatting, such as hyperlinks,
headings and subheadings that can massively influence your search engine rankings and therefore
drive more targeted visitors to your site; and

2. It is written to engage, persuade and convert those visitors into actual paying customers,
thus increasing your online sales and boosting your website profits.

Can't I just use my offline copy on my website?
Not if you want to maximise your website's performance. Website users behave very differently from
consumers of promotional materials in the offline world. The key differences are:

1. Web users are in a hurry - they want information, and they want it fast, so web copy must be
broken up into short, easily digestible chunks, with lots of headings, subheadings, bullet points,
etc.

2. Your offline copy isn't optimised for search engines - by researching the words and phrases
that your customers are searching for on the web, and inserting them in strategic places throughout
your web copy, you can optimise your site to appear higher in the search engine results.

3. The calls to action are different - remember, you can get potential customers to email you
with a single click, or, if you're an e-commerce retailer, they can go through the whole buying
process on your website - something that's not possible with a catalogue or brochure.

4. Your web copy needs to build trust - web users are very wary of handing over personal and
payment details online. Your copy needs to quickly demonstrate that your website is genuine,
trustworthy and secure before they'll do business with you.

How do I figure out which services I need?
The best thing to do is drop us an email telling us a bit more about your situation, or give us a call
on 0211 583 199 so we can have a quick chat. We're more than happy to discuss your
requirements and suggest ways in which we might be able to boost your website profits.

If you already have a website, why not ask us for a FREE website review? We'll take a look at your
site and tell you what its main weaknesses are, and what you can do to improve them.

Alternatively, if you'd like a more comprehensive report, we offer a complete Website Performance
Report - just contact us for pricing information or to request one today.

How much do your services cost?
Our services are charged by the hour, and the minimum order is just two hours, so it's really very
affordable. Take a look at our Pricing page for more information, or give us a call for a no-obligation
quote.

How long will it take?
This depends on the scale of the project, but for an average website copywriting project, our normal
turnaround time for first draft copy is two weeks.

If you're in a hurry, we can sometimes take on rush jobs at a small additional cost, in which case
you'd receive first draft copy within a week, or sometimes quicker if necessary.

What if I already have a website with copy on it?
Depending on your existing website copy, we can often edit what's there, rather than completely
re-writing it.

This is useful if you feel that your SEO is fine, but perhaps you just need a bit of help with grammar,
flow, persuasiveness, etc. On the other hand, perhaps your copy is selling well but isn't optimised
for search engines, in which case we can offer advice on where to insert keywords, etc. to
maximise your website's performance.

I'm developing a new site - when do I need to involve Optimal Copy?
It's best if you can involve us in your website plans as early as possible, because we can often offer
valuable advice on how to structure your site for best search engine performance and usability.

What's the deal with your guarantee?
We're proud to deliver work that consistently exceeds our clients' expectations, and delivers
measurable results. But for your completely peace of mind, all our work is backed up by our 100%
Satisfaction Guarantee
- that means we'll keep working until you're completely satisfied.

What is SEO, and how do I make it work for me?
SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation, is the process of
optimising a website so that it is displayed as high as possible
in the search engine results for a particular search term or
terms.

SEO is a multi-disciplined process that encompasses
technical optimisation, content optimisation and link building.
Using various strategies and tactics, SEO can influence the
ranking of a website by the search engines, resulting in that
site being displayed higher in the search results, and in turn
delivering more targeted visitors to that website.
